How to Get username\password prompt shared folder?

    Hi,

I searched this form and i could not find an answer to my question. Sorry if it already exists and i just over looked it.

I have a file sharing server and about 10 client computers that access files on this server.

What i would like to have is when each client computer wants to access any of the files on the server that they are prompted with a username\password dialog.

I do not want to create each user on server if i dont have to.

    Can this be done?
If so how would one go about doing that?

    Thanks in advance.

The server is Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
6 of the client computer are Windows 7 Pro 64Bit
4 of the client computers are XP Pro

    More user friendly way:

    1. system folder, usually C:\Windows.
    2. Shift-right-click on explorer.exe.
    3. Select Run As
