Why would my network & firewall change suddenly, & w/o explanation

I was going through log files, and found on several occasions an entry that said something like

"You created firewall rules to manage how Service and Controller applications access your network"

    "firewall configuration updated: 99 rules"

    then
"Protecting your connection to a newly detected network on adapter "Software Loopback
    Interface 1. (IP Address: 127.0.0.0)

    and below it:
"Protecting you connection to newly detected network on adapter
    "Intel(R) 82578DC Gigabyte Network Connection.
    (IP Address: 169.154.xxx.xxx)

Which is the ip address I would normally see as being mine if it was detected from the network I connect to via broadband, and I didn't change ANY firewall rules, and all of the above entries have exactly the same time stamps. Is this an indication of an intrusion or Virus?

Install any new antivirus or security suite products?

Both addresses are internal addresses. 127. is your loopback and 169. is your APIPA address incase DHCP is severed.
Neither of which seem alarming, imo.

OK, that is a bit of relief, I wish I knew more about networking to understand WHY it would change, but as long as it isn't something malicious, I can live w/ it as it's a transparent kind of thing - I never would have known had I not looked at my logs.
    Thanks!
