    Problem with connection to wireless router


    In my office, I setup a Cisco wireless router WVRS4400n model. There is wireless laptop and a desktop system (with wireless adapter) and a wireless printer.
    I was able to connect to desktop and printer and browse the internet too.

    But the problem is with the laptop. When I connect laptop to the router, it says that it is "connected" but I was not able to browse the internet at all. I have tried many ways but not able to browse the internet even the connection shows that it is connected.

    Operating system is Windows 7 Home premium 64bit

    Hi there and Welcome to SF,

    Please try the following suggestions, there's no need to move on to the next task if it works:

    Disable any Firewall or Security Software for now.

    Remove all wireless network stored in your computer, then re-add your own SSID. If the network is secured, make sure to type in the correct network key.
    Wireless Network - Remove

    Make sure that DHCP is enabled both in your wired and wireless settings and 'Obtain DNS server address automatically' is also enabled.

    Verify that you're not using any Proxy Servers, remove if found.

    If above suggestions didn't work at all, please provide us an output of your computer's ipconfig /all:
