thecus nas issue not seeing all directories

I am an administrtor for the nas.
permissions on the nas for me are all correct.

    we have several main directories.
all the other computers on our network, not homegroup can see all the directories and sub directories.
In some of the main directories I can only see a fraction of the subdirectories.
two main directories I do not have this issue.

this computer was on a wireless NIC but I have since disabled it and I am using wired access now, the wireless could see all the directories.

    sorry adding more information:

Using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on all machines.
This is a peer to peer set up
All PCs are hooked up through an 8 port switch to the main router
    any suggestions would be apperciated

anywhere in security policies or such I can seek out to find out why this is happening.

    Welcome to SF,

How are you accessing the NAS? Have you tried different ways? Using a web browser or from Start then type the NASIPAddress\Shared Folder. See if you're able to replicate the issue changing the way of accessing it.

    nas

I can access the NAS throught the browser and perform tasks with no problem.

the issue is when I try to logon to acces files throught WinExplorer , I am asked for logon info on the network in explorer(when I click on the NAs icon in the network directory) and can gain access the get to the directories on the NAS.I can access most of the directories that all users are are allowed to access.

Of all the directories on the NAS( my user name and password work, I have not checked save password yet as I want to resolve this issue first), two of the directories I cannot access at all, I have admin privelages for all directories but for some reason these two directories give me a wrong password message.

These are administrator allowed directories only( I am one of the admins on the NAS)
I have tried logging info into the credentials in control panel but the above scenario still persists.

I even reinstalled win7 ultimate ,same issue, I'm sure I've missed somthing but not sure what.

I can even map my back up throught back up and restore with that same password and user name with no problem.

I AM AT A LOSS AS TO HOW TO PROCEED.

the properties for these two directories tell me That I do not have permissions for these directories.

Why don't you do a test ....recreate those 2 directories, call it testfolder1, testfolder2, etc... See if you can replicate the issue. Apply the same permissions as others. If it works move all the files to those folders, delete or rename the problematic directories.

    will try

problem is that my pc is the only one that is having this issue.

this is also a brand new machine.(7 PCs on the intranet now)
may take me a while to try your suggestion as shutting our work system down for this test is abit of a challange.

    thanks

If only one Win7 machine is affected, there's no need to do what I suggested you.
What about logging in as another User from that problematic machine, I'm sure that you have all diff User's credentials created from the NAS? Pls. try using one of those Logon.

    what a pain

I created a new user account on the NAS and I am able to acess all directories and files.

for some reason that old user account had issues resolving to the new pc.

    back in business.
    It has been removed

thanks for your help and suggestions 2xg
