Wireless Adapter Problem? Can't hold connection

A couple days ago while my laptop would say I was connected to my network and had Internet access I couldn't even ping Google, even though I had been using Internet for the past hour or so. My roommate and my phone have no problem connecting to the Internet, it only seems to be my laptop. It's been on and off but it's getting worse now, I can only access the Internet through a wired connection while my roommate, his phone, and my phone have no difficulties. It says I'm connected with Internet access, but I can't access anything apart from something that's intra-network.

Any suggestions? I feel like it's my wireless adapter (built in) giving me problems, I've tried a system restore to before the problem started, it didn't work. I also uninstalled the adapter from device manager and restarted my laptop so it could install again. It did install again, but there hasn't been a change. I've also tried changing my IP address on the router.

My laptop is an Acer 5741G, the network adapter is a Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter. The router is a linksys WRT54G v2.0.
    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Hello ravalos,

You might want to verify if you have the latest driver for your Broadcom WiFi adapter to be found from the Manufacturer's site.

If that didn't help please post an ipconfig /all output for review.

Also, please list all your AV/Firewall/Security Software installed.

    Hi 2xg,

Sorry for the delayed reply, since it's been off and on I couldn't really tell if the latest driver had worked till now when I'm at the same problem. Right now it disconnected me from my network and when I try to reconnect it says Windows was unable to. I've restarted as well right now and I can't connect to any wireless network at the moment.

The only Firewall I have is the one that comes with Windows 7, my AV is Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011.

My ipconfig /all output is as follows:

    Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]

Thanks for all the info provided.
Make sure to update your Wi-Fi driver to the latest.

Also, remove all network profiles, re-add your own SSID (wireless network) with the correct encryption.
