Atheros AR5B97 wireless adapter problem + Windows 7

Hello, I have a problem with my internet (still). I tried asking you here for help earlier but I didn't get any help so I'm trying again.

I bought a new Laptop with Windows 7, it's an Acer Aspire 7741G, but ever since I started it up the internet has not been working correctly. I only get 1-2 signalbars out of 5-6, no matter how close to the router I am, and those 2 bars is only enough to get my internet on this computer up in like 50kb/s when downloading.

Where I live we have several computers, macs, PS3s, and they have never had any problems connecting to our internet, apart from this one.

I've tried most things on my computer to get it to work, but nothing has done the trick yet.

When I troubleshoot the connection it says "problem with the adapter or access point - fixed" almost everytime, and after doing the troubleshoot the internet goes to max speed (5-6 bars) for about 10 seconds before dropping down low again.

I have tried to uninstalled my antivirus/firewall, I have changed the powersettings, I have tried mostly everything that I have found on forums all around, but nothing has worked yet.

    Would appreciate some help
