Can connect to a network computer using name but not IP
Yes, you read it right, I have the opposite problem than usual.
This started after an incident yesterday: a network folder I had open in the background closed with a message it was no longer there. The pc could not see any network computer through windows, but I could still connect to the internet (through the lan) and open vnc connections to lan PCs. After a bit I got a blue screen and after that the pc was restarting immediately upon logging into windows. I did a windows restore and the pc booted. Now it can open all network computers by their name, if it is typed in and open all but one network computer by their IPs, if typed in (So, yes, there is a PC that is only accesible using its name). Also, on the network window, it shows my router and access point but nothing else.
The other PCs on the lan are fine, they can see all the PCs in all ways, including the problematic one.
All PCs on the network have different versions of windows 7 (x86 or x64, enterprise, ultimate, home premium, professional) and all of them have COMODO free firewall in safe mode (no defense+) and avast free antivirus. Windows firewall and defender are off.
