    Problem with Bing Bar

This post is actually on behalf of a friend. She has an HP G72 notebook running Win 7. I was trying to install the HP Smart Print, which first requires the Bing Bar. When trying to install the Bing Bar, I keep getting a window telling me it is already installed and I must first uninstall.

I have looked everywhere I know for this Bing Bar: Add/Remove programs list, looked in C/Program Files, looked in IE9 Manage Add Ons and in Toobars. I did a search of the registry for both HP Bing Bar and Bing Bar. I can find no trace of this item on her computer.

Can someone explain what is going on with this and how to fix it?

I guess it is here ....

In order to remove it, it is to get and activate another search engine first .... then select it, and click the remove button .

Another search engine was already activated, but there were two instances of Bing shown when I clicked on Search Engines. I removed them but it made no difference. I still get that same message when I try to install.

I ran the sfc /scannow on her computer this morning and it came back 100% with no integrity errors.

I can not understand how it can tell me that Bing Bar is installed when it is not.
