    LAN-Connection (Wired) Problem

    Hello,

My problem is that my wired connection (LAN) always worked but somehow a few days ago it didn't work anymore and it kept connecting to Unknown Network (public network).
Yesterday it worked for some hours, but later my LAN-Connection connected to Unknown network again and I still got no connection with my LAN and I really want it because my wireless connection is bad and my LAN-connection is good.

Here is a screenshot (sorry it's dutch):

So please help me if you can.

    Regards, donny

    Hello,

Make sure that your LAN setting is set to DHCP, that goes to the DNS Servers as well.
Wireless Network Support: How to enable DHCP on Windows 7?

Updating your network adapter's driver to the latest one is also a great idea. Make sure that you download the latest driver from the Manufacturer's site.

I have set all the right settings, because I have wireless connection I can see the information.
I filled it all in on the right spots and still the same...
Yesterday I had after 2 hours connection with my LAN and I started my pc and just like yesterday morning no connection.
Updated drivers and tried everything but still nothing while my wireless is working so it's not my router I quess.

I don't understand the Dutch language, but it looks like you have a Home network and an unidentified Public network.

You might want to try this workaround.

Click Start and type cmd in the Search field.

Right-click cmd under Programs and accept the UAC prompt to open the command window.

Type this command: netsh int ip reset c:\netsh.log.txt

Press Enter to run the command.

Type this command: netsh winsock reset

Press Enter to run the command.

Type Exit then press Enter to close the command window.

Restart your computer and check your network settings.

Did it, still having unidentified Public network.
Does the ipv4 have the same subnetmask, standardgateway and DNS because when I try to save the settings, I click on exit and look at it again I only see the standardgateway and DNS(preffered) that are saved.

Is the PC connected directly to the router for the LAN connection?

No cable, I use NETGEAR Powerline AV 200 Adapter XAV2001 for my lan connection
but it got 3 spots that have to be green or not? because the middle is not green.

EDIT: Now the NETGEAR(router) is all green still get connected to the unidentified Public network.
(only 2 spots green the left and the most right, middle spot is still empty)

What could be the problem help please

What type of AV, Security of Firewall Software do you have?

Sometimes disabling it completely helps, others would uninstall then reinstall.

I don't know how it work but when I put my NETGEAR in the electricity there are 3 spots that have to be green, mostly the middle is not green that means that it didn't found any ip or something like that and I can't find any other connections as unidentified Public network.
It works very fast once I have connection from it, but most of the days it will take about hours till it connects to the right router.
It has ipv4, ipv6 and it says that there is no network acces module at both of them and I can't change anything because if I do properties it only saves the DNS(preffered) and the standardgateway.

I have nod32.4 antivirus and I don't know what kind of firewall it's just called firewall without any name (or I just can't find the name).
