Windows 7 RC firewall turns off after reboot

    Hi to all.

I have one question regarding Windows 7 firewall. Few weeks ago I installed KIS 2009 Technical preview on my Windows 7 RC. During installation KIS disabled Win7 firewall. After trailing KIS for a while I decided to uninstall it. I uninstalled the program and rebooted the machine. After restart my Win7 firewall was turned off (KIS didn't enable it during uninstallation?). So I manually enabled the firewall. But now after each reboot firewall is turned off and I have to manually turn it on. I even tried to reinstall KIS and uninstall it again but it made no difference. Did KIS screw something with Win7 firewall or is this just Windows firewall problem?

Thank you all for any help.

    Hi tomazyk,

Go to Services in Administrative Tools from the Control Panel, and see if the service Windows Firewall is set to Automatic and Started. If it's not, double click on it and set it to Automatic and start the service under Service Status. Reboot, see if the problems gone.

Yes, that was a problem. Service was set to manual and it didn't start at bootup. Can't belive I didn't see that one :).

Airbot, thanks a lot for your help.
