wired or wireless lan
i'll assume verizon will hit me with data usage charges even if i do wireless lan file transfers??
if so, i'll assume that i have to do wired lan for transferring file between my 3 W7 workstations?

Hello,
Data File transfers has nothing to do with the Data Usage, you're not on unlimited plan with Verizon?
You may do unlimited wireless/wired file transfers and won't affect your data usage plan with Verizon.
Streaming Music/videos, downloading/uploading files using wired/wireless internet connection will affect your data usage.
no i am on a 5gb a month plan. i always used dsl before so didint know how the data usage works.
do you have any tips for setting up a lan with my 3 windows 7 machines (on Verizon wireless connection)
i do video production and graphics so some files will be large between workstations
You may do Files sharing, but if the files are large the transfer rates might be very slow. You may give it a try.

You may also consider a NAS solution, transfer rates are pretty fast. I use NAS at Home and Work and they are very good. I have 2 of these and works great.
