    Update: Issue Resolved (officially)
    On PC-A
    1. Un-checked IPv6 for network adapter.
    2. Changed workgroup to temporary name.
    3. Rebooted
    4. Changed workgroup back to WORKGROUP
    5. Rebooted PC-A and PC-B
I'm now able to connect using the computer name. Pinging also resolves to correct IP address.

I have a similar issue but have Win7-64bit & Mac 10.7 (Lion). I have connected in the past but as of a month or so ago I haven't been able to.

From Mac I can connect to Win7 but not from Win7 to Mac. I got my Mac's computer name & password, then typed these into the "Enter Network Account", which appears when I select the Mac, but it fails. I'm not sure how connection was made by using the Mac's IP address. Need some help.

Sorry but where do I find IPv6?

This is on Windows 7, I'm not familiar with Mac's at all:
Control Panel-->Network and Internet-->Network and Sharing Center-->Change Adapter Settings
    Right-click the adapter, left-click Properties
    Un-check IPv6
    Click 'OK'

At any rate, I'm not sure if this solution will work for you as this was a Win7 to Win7 connection. You're issue may be entirely different.

Thanks. IPv6 says no internet access. Problem is from Win7 to Mac. In Properties, I un-checked IPv6 & it disconnected all internet connections.

Yeah, I'm at a loss. Again, I know absolutely nothing about Mac's. I think you have a different issue than what I had.
