Try changing your Wireless Channel to either 1, 6 or 11.

Also, this is the 3rd time, please do not overlook on upgrading your router's firmware. Here's an instruction on how to do that. Belkin : Support : How do I update the firmware on my router?

    *sigh*
Why should I upgrade the firmware, since the other laptop is speeding like a rocket?
P.S. Tried changing the channels before posting,no result.

Have you tried Port forwarding - Post #3?

You may also bypass it by enabling DMZ in your router, it's risky though, just make sure that your computer has Security Software installed.

What is a DMZ? Security | DSLReports.com, ISP Information

Depending on your Belkin Model, on some.... you may enable DMZ feature specific for one computer in your network. Please check out page 24/133 of this Belkin Manual regarding that. The Manual will also give instruction on how to enable DMZ.

I have an Atheros AR9285 wireless network addapter.
Could you give me a verified link and a short description of what I have to do?

Just for you, I downloaded the file. Also, you will need to uncompress the folder, then locate the .sys file, this is the Driver.

Here's complete guide on how to manually install the network driver adapter.
