IE8 and MSN IM

    IE8 and MSN IM


    Using Win7x64.
    After installing MSN IM. IE8 was changed to IE7.

    How can I get IE8 back?

    Have you tried a system restore?

    Let us know how it goes. I don't know why or how downloading msn im would change IE8 to IE7.

    That is weird did you use Windows Internet Messenger 2009?

    It is MSN Messenger.
    I used the link on MSN home page in IE8.

    Did a fresh install, installed IM again.
    It did it this time also, it appears the installer installed IE7 as an
    upgrade for IE8.

    Having some other problems with Win7x64, going back to x32.
