    [WTA]MAC taking internet bandwith?

First thing first, I created this thread solely to ask not to begin a war (just being cautious)

I've got a problem with my Internet recently
There is 3 PCs and 2 macbook in my house
First, when i moved to the new house there is only my friend laptop n my PC
It got 1MBps speed and everything is good
Then, we got another housemate using Mac and PC, obviously the internet is slowing
The speed is down greatly even i have to wait a lil bit to access certain site
now, recently i've got a parasite who also uses mac
n now i cannot access everything, even i can't even Access GOOGLE (COME ON!!)
The time that I can access smoothly is when the mac user is asleep
N the one who troubled is not only me, but my friend who uses Win Laptop
Even now i have to wait 15 minutes (by continuously hitting refresh) to create this thread

so, is Mac got strong antenna or some special feature to hog internet?
And is there anyway to see who uses internet in the shared network?

    Hello,

They could be downloading or streaming from the web. The easiest way to get information on something like this is to be direct with the person and just ask them. If it turns out that they are downloading stuff then you can ask them to calm it down a little.

Well both of the mac users actually a pretty heavy internet user
With continuous download n a thousand tabs open
But, i've been doing some experiment one win laptop and a macbook side to side
The laptop been connected to the internet long before the macbook n connected after that
With laptop currently watching video at utube n after mac comes n also open utube, the buffer stop for laptop and freakishly fast for mac.
Don't know if it just me (n my housemates) that got the problem like this

Is there any way to monitor the bandwith that being used or maybe a bandwith limiter?

    Thanks 4 the reply btw

Normally you would monitor the bandwidth from your router.

I believe there is a program to monitor p2p activity called p2pover. I have never used this though so I cannot vouch for it...
