    DNS server isn't responding help!

hi guys, i've been having this problem last week, but after a few hours my net connection was back. now i have this problem again and it's like 10 hours of dns not responding. i tried to reset my modem, used an open dns server, used cmd stuffs, but not has changed. i have two laptops at home not of them can't connect. the only way i can connect is to directly connect the cable from the modem.

i am using macbook pro using bootcamp running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. the other is acer aspire 4810t i am using dual boot windows xp and vista. i am using my mac now which is running on windows 7. i tried to troubeshoot it for so many times, but i only got the annoying the same message. i have a wireless router the can't connect now on the internet. i have it this router for 1 year now. do i need to buy one?or is there a another way to fix this problem.

    Hello,

The next time you get the error do the following. Click Start, run. Type 'cmd'. In the command prompt type 'ipconfig /all' and post the details back here.

What model router do you have?

Try changing the DNS on your router to googles (8.8.8.8) and see if that corrects the problem.
