Alright, it does not appear to be a driver issue, so try the following:

1. Open Start Menu
2. Click All Programs
3. Click Accessories
4. Right click Command Prompt
5. Click Run as Administrator
6. Type in "sfc /scannow" without the quotes
7. Let this finish. Restart your computer.
8. Run steps 1-7 again.
9. Run steps 1-7 again.

That way it runs three times and hopefully fixes all system file errors. If this does not fix your problem, report back.

Your best bet is to do a Repair Install I've had a virus cause this problem before, and the only way I was able to fix it was a repair install.

You will need a DVD with Windows 7 integrated with SP1. You can find an ISO online by googling for official Windows 7 ISO and then burn that to DVD. Let me know if you have any questions during the process.

Hello, Now at first, I was hesitant on joining the site, because I was sure there'd be a valid solution, but there isn't. I seemed to have, pardon me, but 'screwed myself over.' I was following the advice of an earlier post dealing with this problem. Seeing as it worked fine up until I used...

I'm trying to fix my girlfriend's Windows 7 laptop after she had a virus/malware infection. I'm pretty sure we've successfully cleared the virus (an updated/full scan with Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware in safe mode comes up clean). However, we have had no Internet access since the infection. The...
