Unidentified network, IP not assigned by DHCP. Event ID 1001

    Hi all,

I recieved my new notebook clevo170hm yesterday. The laptop was working fine for 2 days, but today it started behaving weirdly when I tried connecting it to the LAN internet and it said "no network access" and "unidentified network". I remembering installing a windows update and after a reboot this error came up, before the update things were good . Here's the event viewer error description:
    Code:
Your computer was not assigned an address from the network (by the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with network address 0x0090F5C1E007. The following error occurred: 0x79. Your computer will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from the network address (DHCP) server.
Apart from that I tried connecting to my wifi network, still gave me the same error " unidentified network". Here is the cmd command result for "ipconfig/all"
    Code:
    C:\>ipconfig/all

Forgot to mention, I do not have a router or modem. I am living in university accommodation hence all I got on the other end is a n ethernet socket. :)
