Can't leave Homegroup. i've tried it all with no succses...

    I have managed to do the same steps you did that you thought created your problem. I no longer have the host computer setup. I am still able to access my homegroup, though. I think you have corrupted windows files.

    Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker three times.

    If that does not work, look into
    Repair Install

    If you need a Windows 7 DVD with SP1, you can find the ISOs through Google by searching for "windows 7 sp1 integrated iso offical direct download link" (without quotes). Let me know if you need help finding the iso.

    Once you have the iso, you can burn it to DVD and you will have your DVD for the repair install.

    I tried to change to a business network to delete my homegroup (Aargh) but I was told that I don't have policy settings so I can't set as a work network or delete my ******* homegroup.

    Just in case anyone else can't leave the Homegroup, this is the actual fix for the problem. This is a very common problem, the link below shows the only fix for this problem. :)
