    My connection keeps on dropping.

The light on the router becomes orange and then green
Can the cause be a faulty microfilter (because apparently it can. I read it in computer active)

    More information please.

    Router make and model?

    Wireless, ethernet or both?

    How often?

Are you using the incoming telephone socket?

Have you tried a new microfilter?

Have you tried resetting and rebooting the router?

In that case you might want to consider using a wireless access point or wireless extender to boost the signal in your room.

    Wireless Range Extender | Broadbandbuyer.co.uk

If you're thinking of buying a new router, go for Wireless-N rather than Wireless-G.
