Could we get some info on your networking setup?

Like ISP, router, homegroup or workgroup?

It's a desktop and I'm using cable for connection and it is a home network
My laptop is connected but for some reason the desktop is not
I did try unplug and replug the cable and everything many times, but it still does not work
It keeps saying unidentified network even though laptop works fine

    Hi Shirley,

Did you do an inplace upgrade to windows 7 on the pc or did you use a CD and do a clean install?

If it was a clean install then you may be missing the motherboard drivers for the ethernet/internet
