I can't connect to the internet

Ok, I just purchased a Motorola SB6121 Modem and I plugged in. I have an Ethernet cable connected to the Modem from my computer as well as a Coaxial cable.

All lights are on and the modem tells me that I am connected to the internet.

Local Area Connection says that it's unidentified.

I don't know how things are in the USSR but here in the USA one must contact their ISP and have them setup your modem to their network.

I agree with MGP, you will need to call your ISP most likely. I know because i had experience myself. I was being charged modem leases fee so i went out and bough my own cable modem. Had to call them game them a few ip/mac addresses and it was finally working. Only downfall was technical support could no longer assist if the main troubleshooting tips did not work and would assume the fault was with my Modem hardware.

Hold on, according to your second picture, it shows that your "Wireless network connection" has internet access (based on the green bars symbol in the bottom left of its icon). Or at least a connection to a router without any problems, and I'm pretty sure it's supposed to show something else if it doesn't have internet access. Are you getting internet access through wifi to your computer?

Anyway, your ISP should definitely be able to help you. But you may need a router to connect your computer to the internet with an Ethernet cable, it just depends on how your modem works. Some work as both a modem and a router, some don't.
