wired connection to modem no networking available

hello all,

Background; home built computer 8gb ram all tested individually, 1.0tb hdd tested, popped in new 1.5tb hdd, tested power supply, 5 fans (no overheating issues), popped in new network card, tested disk drives.

Computer runs Comodo firewall, Avast antivirus, and tune up utilities. I was online one day and 20 windows opened up at the same time computer rebooted bsod. that day computer rebooted about 10 times. at first i was able to go online but soon afterwards no internet connection (red X on icon).

I tried to scan and the computer would reboot in the middle of scan (All different types of scans safe mode safe mode w networking normal). I was on the ph w a tech from avast for three hrs we ended the conversation by him telling me to internet provider, did that spoke w that tech for two hrs. I uninstalled avast.

Every time the computer starts comodo message comodo does not seem to be started or installed. fix doesn't work. I kn it is my computer that will not allow a connection to internet. I cant release /renew rpc server unavail

So I took out hdd and put in a new one to do a clean install no luck win 7 enterprise error 0x80070570, 0xc0000005, then it said 0x7717b099 ref memory at 0x774ae76f memory could not be written.

I decided to put old hdd in and combat the problem. Message Diagnostics Policy Service not running. After all of this i took it to my job so the tech could look at it he tried a clean install on new hdd no luck and he didn't have any ans

Please help if i get online i can run mse with updated virus definitions and hopefully fix whatever virus/malware Thank you very much.

How long had you been running the computer prior to this failure?

It sounds like hardware failure or a really bad virus. But since you mention memory I'd pull all your memory and see if it will run stable with just 1-2G of RAM. If it does then take those out and go through your ram until you've tested all sticks by themselves. Or if you can also run memtst86 which you can get here http://www.memtest86.com/.

Also if might want to check you hdd's SATA connection on the motherboard and or the HDD itself. I damaged one in the past it cause all kinds of issues. I say this since you mentioned you installed a brand new hdd. If the hdd checks out then it could be virus and since you can't seem to boot I'd suggest trying a repair install if have an installation disk.

Also since you're unable to boot to the OS try using System Sweeper http://connect.microsoft.com/systemsweeper
and see if it finds anything. This is a program you can put onto a USB or dvd and scan at boot.

My lengthy first response addressed all hardware issues. I have checked all connections. i tested each mem 1 at a time and in different slots tested both hdd one at a time, i even purchased a new hdd, new mem and new network card just to see. the only things that were not tested was my processor and my mb itself.

Its definitely a virus. I will try system sweeper.

My problem is no networking available. i can do everything else on my computer without it being unstable. it is unstable when i run extended chdsk and it reboots about 1.5 hrs into it, and/or when trying to do a clean install on a new hdd. during expanding files i get an error message.

I believe its a virus that effects services. I need a stand alone program, something that will fix services. Oh system restore not an option .
