The default IP address for your modem is 192.168.0.1. This is the address you would put into your browser to connect to your modems configuration page.

Pressing the reset button the the back of your modem does not reset or uninstall drivers on your PC. It should be a relatively simply job to reainstall drivers anyway if you ever needed to. If you ever had to - Insert the CD that came with your Thomson Modem and follow the on screen instructions.

You might also like to have a read of this PDF.. it's the user manual for your modem. t is in english though. Sorry, I was unable to find one in Finnish.

If your modem's IP address is not 192.168.0.1 and you have not changed it, you might want to contact your telco provider. They may have set specific configurations.

If you're not familiar with router configurations I'd be careful with port forwarding. If you get it wrong, you could kill your internet connection. It might be worthwhile taking a look at some of the information on http://www.portforward.com too.

i don't mean any offense, but if you don't even know how to access your router via IP i don't think you should be messing around with things inside the router once you get there. some settings are very touchy and can easily lead to it not working properly

Most routers do not allow you to manage them wirelessly unless you specifically change a setting to enable it. This is to prevent someone next door from getting into your router and changing things around behind your back. If you are using the correct IP Address and use an ethernet cable it should work.

Since you mentioned that you are fourteen I feel I should ask if you are doing this with your parents permission. Sorry, but I'm a dad and we dads have to look out for each other.

My original reply had the link to the user manual for your modem.

I also recommend you take some time to read the stuff on portforward.com. Like I said in my original reply, If you're not familiar with the working of routers, you may find yourself in more problems than when you started.

And to reinforce what profdlp said, if this router is used by others in your household, you could break things for them too. I'm a mother of three sons, and I don't let any of my kids have the router password. I trust them, and they are quite computer and Internet Savvy. But there are some things that just shouldn't be messed with, especially if you're not confident.
    Good Luck.
