Problems Networking two Win7 Computers
I have two Win7 machines that I am trying to connect via a router, both via a LAN and wireless. A printer is also wired to the router. The netwrok is desiganted as a Home Network on both computers. The system worked until I replaced a laptop running XP with a desktop running Win7.
The network map for desktop1 shows two network connections, a wired LAN connection and a wireless connection via the router. Both the wired and wireless network maps show the router and the printer but not desktop2.
The network map for desktop2 shows only one connection, but shows it as both wired and wireless. Again, both the wired and wireless network maps show the router and the printer but not desktop1.
How do I get the two computers to recognize each other?
BTW, I have an external harddrive attached to desktop1 for backups. I can backup desktop2 to that harddrive.
