Changing security setting on netgear extender

    Hi All

I have just installed a Netgear WN3000RP Wireless range extender and Netgear N300 Wireless USB Adaptor.
The USB Adaptor shows as having WPA2-PSK Security but the Extender only shows as having WPA-PSK Security.
This is probably something I did when installing.
Is there any way to alter the security setting on the extender or do I need to reinstall it.

    Yours Dave T

According to pages 16 through 18 here ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/WN..._27JUN2011.pdf
That extender is capable of WPA2-PSK[AES] and you should be able to configure it using the instructions on page 16.
I suppose it is possible that a more recent firmware update might be required if you are not seeing it at all in the configuration page. So check with the manufacturer's site to see if there is a more current version available than the one you are currently using.
