Please elaborate about what you mean by internal IP address and give an example. Any Internal private IP address (LAN) handed out by say a router can't be seen from the Internet (WAN) or used to reveal your location.

There simply is no way your location could be found based on internal IP. I can publish it here or buy some airtime on national TV and reveal to whole world that my internal IP is 192.168.2.120 and no one can find out where I am located at the moment, based only on that piece of information.

Certain IP addresses are reserved for so called private networks, to be used on internal networks as for instance home networks. These private IP address ranges are 10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255, 172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255 and 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255. Your internal IP on your home network is from one of these three address ranges. Because these address ranges are private, only for internal use, they do not need to be individual and can not be located.

Although this gives us all a lot of internal IP addresses to choose (17891328 alternatives), it would be totally OK if all home routers of the world had a default gateway IP 192.168.2.1, and all homes around the world had one computer with exactly the same internal IP than my 192.168.2.120.

You can be quite sure that millions, probably tens of millions of other users are at this very moment using the exactly same internal IP address as you on your home network.
