Fiber optic Internet connection. Home, Work or Public network?

Hey people. So I am connected to internet to fiber optic, so there's no modem, or router, just the Ethernet cable that goes to my Ethernet card. What option should I choose in the Network Sharing Center? Home, Work, Public? I use this connection at home, but since it's fiber optic, it's more like a LAN connection. What should I choose to make sure nobody sees my files, uses my printers and stuff like that? Thanks

From the connectivity aspect Work, or home makes virtually no difference.

If your hardware is relatively new (ie the last year) I would use Homegroup, if an older legacy system I would use workgroup.
