    Accessing windows 7 via rdc

Okay I'm trying to set up windows 7 so I can access it remotely from my iPad. I'm very computer literate but I cannot seem to find out the problem as to why.

Ive set up windows 7 to allow remote access. I've tried disabling avg and windows firewall but I still keep getting connection refused. Help?

    Thanks

Welcome Jeffmiller45 to the windows 7 forum.

Can it be assumed that your running the iPad Remote Desktop program?

If you set it up correctly on your PC, and allow access via rdp, then you will have to access it via it's IP, as your iPad should have an IP in the same range as your PC. Unless your PC has a static IP then you will have to enter that IP via your wireless on your iPad.

What RDP App are you running on your iPad?

I'm using pocket cloud. I would like to access it both across LAN and when I'm in a hotel for example. I tried to access via 192.168.0.4 (pc local address) and using the ip of the network. The ip is static.

I've also forwarded the ports via the router.

    Hello,

In the remote desktop settings on the Windows 7 PC make sure that "Allow connections from computers running all versions of remote desktop (Less secure)".

This can be found my right clicking computer, clicking properties and then clicking on the remote tab.

Please can you also give us the Router make/model and give us a screen print of the Port Forwarding/NAT rules.

Also, check that the computer isnt going into sleep mode - This would stop the connection.
