    how to manually set up your ip dns server subnet mask and default gate


    i always have this problem... my ip is always 169.xxx.xxx and i want to manually set up my ip so i wont this problem..

    If you IP starts with 169.254.x.x that means you are configured incorrectly. You will need to fix that before you can manually fix the ip.

    I suggested you run IPCONFIG /ALL and take a snip of the out put and upload it to us here/.

    Subnet mask should be 255.255.255.0
