The XP box (not a server) can either share files with the other pc's or have its own subnet but not both. You cant force sharing thru one subnet and internet thru the other. We (kari, antman, myself, and others have tried to help you. We tried to explain but could not even get you to desribe your equiptment fully. I had to ask you 5 questions to find out the server isn't really a server but merely a share.

it is not a win 7 problem.

    Kari jumped out
    Antman jumped out
    And I am jumping out

    Good luck with your problem

    Ken
hmm pcs can subnet and share with other pcs its a case of setting the a primary connection which a cant do and why i am here
You asked me 5 "whats not working" and i did say each time the ISP on the server is not primary
Here you go What is a Server if its not a server that is

The problem is windows 7 as unlike XP i cant set a Default Connection
And thanks for the "Good luck with your problem" Have a great day

Its YOUR system that needs help ... The users here are more than willing to help anyone that requests it, but your unwillingness to do the simplest thing as filling out your system specs is really baffling ... the old adage Help us help you comes to mind... And if you stop being so juvenile, people (me) would stop referring to you as m'boy... in other words when you're asking for help, lose the attitude..

I would think that since you have been here since may you might have found time to learn the rules

1- In order for people to assist you with any problems you may have, please complete the System Specs section of your CP as comprehensibly as you can

    2-
While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts.

    3-
No useless posts. This includes: Thread bumping, useless one liners, flaming, Trolling and Spamming.

    4-
By the way Servers run specialized software, and have specialized hardware so that the may "serve" files to authorized users with uid's and passwords. Media streaming and file sharing donot a server make.

5- The default connection is the same in win 7 as it was

This did not have to get to this point and if you were a new user you probably would have been cut more slack but yu are not
