If you use a hard wire LAN cable (instead of wireless) and the timeouts happen in both windows, then the router is going bad a times. If you never get disconnected using a hard wire, then most likely we will need to re-install the drivers for the wireless card or something is messing up the WiFi signal in your area.

One more thing - when you are on wireless, how strong is the signal?

If you have a LAN cable - use that until we can get this sorted out for you. You really should not have lots of time outs when using a hard wire connection to the router.

Where you able get online using a hard wired connection? We need to get that working before we start working on your wireless drivers.

Sorry for the late reply. unfortunately the connection i have know is not mine. This is my employers hard wire so I can't put it in my laptop.

Maybe I will ask him if its ok.

btw sir. the ping 192.168.25.1 -t is working well but the ping Google -t sometimes shows "request timed out"
and I noticed that when this word("request timed out") comes out the internet is very slow.

I am really sorry sir. I am totally a newbie in terms of computers

No problem, we were all newbies at one point.

Pinging 192.168.25.1 will probably only work while you are at home. When you are at work, you might need to ping a different IP address to test your connection to the wireless access point (router?) at work - but let's not worry about that right now - pinging Google might be enough while at work.

Where I live and work, it is okay to see one or two "request timed out" lines from time to time. It is not normal to see several in a row (like your screenshot showed). I'm not sure what the norm is where you are.

Are you seeing several time outs back to back from your ping of Google while at work? If yes, ask a coworker to ping Google on their computer and see if they see the time out pattern that you see.

If you can post an expanded screen shot of your ipconfig/all it would be most helpful.

    ipconfig/all

hope this helps. inconsistency of ping Google -t
but the ping 192.168.25.1 -t is running smoothly

    sir one thing.

my IPv4 is 192.168.25.1 while my gateway is 192.168.25.4
is it ok if both of the addresses are different?
