    IP address conflict with another system on network.


    i have this problem in my laptop's connection.
    my internet connection turns on and off most of the time
    and i guess the problem is the DCHP is the problem

    please help.

    Hello,

    You will need to logon to your modem or router's setting and verify that you have enough DHCP or IPs reserved to distribute in your network. If this is not the case, you may do the IP release and renew command.

    when i renewed the config before
    Currently Active Users Viewing This T the IP address came out there is a note regarding the connection.

Am on a laptop running XP because my new Windows 7 laptop will not connect via this ethernet connection. I'm at a hotel so have no access to the hotels router. My new Windows 7 laptop won't connect via this same ethernet cable because it says someone else on the network has the same IP address....
