okay well oddly enough my connection as unstable as it is. it is still acceptable and honestly I can't really think of any other possibility's of boosting my connection speed other that trying a new or different network adapter. I will leave this thread open in case I stumble into any other troubles. THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL OF YOUR ASSISTANCE :)

Alright, thanks for letting us know Noe. Just a quick verification here. Is this connection not acceptable for you?
    With B & G selected = a very stable 36mbps connection
Did you ever try changing the Wireless Mode from the router? It seems to be that you only tried changing the mode from your computer, am I correct here?
    Also I can change my wireless mode on the computer from b ---> b & g -----> b & g & n but I can not select only N?
Yes, definitely a new Wi-Fi Adapter might work, make to get something with High gain antenna higher than 7dBi is acceptable and definitely an N or dual-band capable. :)

    You are most Welcome.

I wonder how this thread has gotten marked as solved???

Make note of 2xg's post as it relates to b/g/n. It really should be changed on the router, rather than the computer.

When I asked about recent installs you mentioned the bamboo device, but I think you may have had others recently -- if you're set to receive automatic OS updates you probably got these the day before you installed the bamboo.

I know you've stated you've restored to a point prior to the bamboo install. Before it seems like ancient history, I'd do a restore to a point before the Windows updates. Check performance and post back... you do still have options...

    Update

Okay, so I have been using my internet for almost a day now and it does not stick at 1mbps anymore. Rather it stays around 26,52 and 65mbps. Now I am fine with this BUT it's not an ideal connection speed that I desire...

Now I never DID test my internet on this computer when it was healthy so I cant compare it like before but... I have reinstalled my bamboo tablet and everything seems as it was before I installed it so the tablet is not the cause.

I am also almost certain that it was NOT a windows update and even if it was I don't think the effects of it would be that drastic because i'm browsing quite okay right now.

~HELP HERE~ Ok so how so would I change this mode option...

Would I change on just router, pc and router or just pc and if I do how DO I change the mode on the router??? (D-link) and would changing the mode effect anyone else who uses the router?

AND I played a game of League of Legands earlier today and my ping was right as rain at a nice 66ping.

one more thing... I am writing this response from my desktop. So internet browsing is hardly and issue, gaming is variable but okay, video steaming is bad (or at least worse that before)

Based on your last few posts, go ahead and follow the device manager items I mentioned in this post: Post #32: device manager.

From a D-Link DIR 655 (my previous router), see the attached image - Setup>Wireless Setting>802.11 Mode. Is your setting similar to mine?

Network adapters. The wireless card in particular.

Have you changed any of the settings in the card's properties dialog box in order to try and solve your problem?
