Windows 7 Ultimate computer cant see other Windows 7 computers

Hello SF forums.

I have one problem about networking.
My problem is started , a lot days ago , maybe 1 year.

I have :
In network :
- My Computer , (system spec in tab My System spec).
- Laptop MSI-GX620. (Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit)
For netowrk :
- TP-LINK TD-W8901G (Wirless + ADSL + switch router)
I had : ASUS switch and TP-LINK Wirless router but I had problem too, so I chaged switch and router.

My problem is :
I cant see my laptop and my laptop cant see my computer.
File Sharing System is enabled, password security is off. And It have shared D: and E:
I did a lot of time System Restore. That was fixed network , but that didnt worked long. When that broke again , I tried Restore but nothing...

What to do ?
Note : I cant and musnt do clean install on my laptop because there is a lot of programs and settings , and I dont know how to set laptop to work with this again.
My computer works in network with other computers (I think). Sometimes I can see my computers in network but only our computers , and when I want to open it I always got error.

Thanks in advance.
Trinty .

I dont use any thitd party firewall , and I dont use Windows Firewall , Es... Security and Defender....

I only use KIS 2012 (Kaspersky Internet Security) and built-in KIS firewall. I tried to disable that firewall and AV too. But nothing. Always problem is same. I tried to restart computer without AV and firewall, but nothing.

You say there isn't a third party firewall then you say you are using KIS firewall?

That is the same as a third party firewall.

The reason I say this is because pretty much any third party firewall or A/V can and will cause sharing problems unless it is configured correctly and that is a hit and miss deal. It might be a good idea if you go to KIS forum and ask them how to set it up to share with Windows 7.

I'd say your best bet is to completely uninstall KIS using a removal tool if you can find one and go back to using the Windows firewall and use Windows Security.

I dont think that. I said that worked early with that same A/V and firewall. I didnt change anything on my firewall or A/V. Today I disabled firewall and on laptop I cant see my computer in Network tab. I only see that laptop and nothing more. But on my computer I see only that laptop but I cant open this. That is my problem. I will try to uinstall KIS and I will try again.

The problem is that KIS can create a firewall rule at anytime that will keep you from accessing the other machine. It's hard to see this sort of thing from here so I have to guess at what might be going on.

I should also ask if this is a mixed Op system network, meaning are there machines other than Windows 7 in this network?

If they are all Windows 7 machines you should be able to set up a Homegroup, if it's a mixed Op system then you need to leave the Homegroup on all Windows 7 machines and set up a workgroup instead. Homegroup Network is only made for Windows 7 machines and will cause problems with when other Op systems are in the mix.

This guide may help you to set up a mixed network, suggest you follow the examples here, notice the part about using the Public folders.
