WinXP Prof to Win 7 Ultimate File Sharing


I am having problem while accessing my shared folders and files on win xp through win 7 !

When i access any of shared folder it ask for login for Winxp Pc ! but at other side on xp i have no login password !
I have same group name !

But when i access win 7 through my Win xp Pc it works !

Please help !

Os1 : Win Xp Professional

Windows 7 Ultimate x64


On the Windows XP PC put a password on the user account. If possible make it the same as the one on your windows 7 PC (Same Username as well) - This will mean it wont ask for a username and password everytime you access the share.

So finally the answer is always use same user name or make a password for user on xp !

Hi, I use Windos 7 Professional 32Bit. I installed VMWARE Player 4.0.3. I installed Windows XP in VMWare. I tried several settings for "network connection": Bridged, NAT, Host-only. Automatic Windows-Update works. But there is no posibilty to get a Internet connection.

Hi everybody, I have a problem. KARA, my downstairs computer files needs bo be accessed from KYLE, upstairs computer, and vice versa.
