    Dual Lan ?

My other motherboard has Dual-Lan. Can a router replace the other LAN port ?

    Hello,

    What do you mean?

Dual LAN would be used to connect your PC to two different networks. Most users don't use the dual LAN function, they just connect one Network port to a switch or router.

My other Mobo has dual lan support. I figured that I had to connect it into a router, a little less organized, what can I do.

I had one computer, that has dual lan slots. One lan port went to a router the other to another machine. Since this other motherboard only has one lan slot. I assume I have to have the router act on behalf of the second port that was on the previous motherboard. The issue is the wiring :)

    Ahh ok,

Yes the best way would be to connect the second PC to the router directly. I wouldn't bother trying to use the second network port on the Dual LAN PC.

How long is the cable run?

It should be long enough. I'll give it a go and hopefully update soon :)
