usb adapter keeps disconnecting, troubleshoot says "restoring gateway"

May someone here has a similar issue that they've solved?
I use a Belkin router N600DB with now the fastest adapter the F9L1101v1. All my lower speed adapters worked fine and very rarely if ever would just disconnect. But this high speed adapter will disconnect 2-6 times a day for no reason. I've uninstalled and installed the latest Belkin driver 3-4 times. I can cure this when the adapter is removed and re-inserted or running W& troubleshoot problems which will restore the default gateway and life is good for til the next disconnect.
Any ideas would be helpful !

You should first make sure you are using WPA2 with AES encryption. Wireless N is made to work with those settings. You can change those settings in your routers set up page and you will want to edit your wireless profile accordingly.

You might also try running a channel scan to see which wireless channel is the cleanest in your area. Channel overlap causes disconnections all the time.

If you are still having problems after making the adjustments please post a screen shot of your ipconfig/all when it's connected and disconnected. :)

OK so after removing driver and re-installing everything appears fine at the moment. I will see if this holds and report back as soon as I get another disconnect. Otherwise I'll mark as solved. Checked all my settings and they are WPA2 and AES.

Give it some time to make sure, the ipconfig might tell me more if you keep having problems. :)

Will do, so far so good. Signal strong and no issues but the day is young and I've done this before!
