Set up ad hoc network, now can't connect to internet

I tried setting up an ad hoc network between 2 computers. I was trying to share a cd drive in order to install office 2010 (didn't work, had to move it on a thumb drive).

Anyway, now neither of the computers that were connected to the ad hoc network can connect to the internet. My wireless network shows up in my list of available networks, the signal strength is fine, but when I hit "connect" it just says, "Windows was unable to connect to [name of network]."

When I run the diagnostic tool it says "problem with wireless adapter or access point." I've tried rebooting the computer, re-installing the adapter (from manufacturer website), and removing and adding the wireless network (via "manage wireless networks"), all to no avail.

    Machine: HP tx2513
    OS: Windows 7 Professional
    Wireless Adapter: Broadcom 4321AG

    Any suggestions?

That did it, thanks! I didn't think it was the router because my other computer was connected just fine. Shows what I know. . .

    Thanks for your help.
