    Un map network drive x

Months ago I mapped drive x to Skydrive. Recently, I downloaded the new skydrive link which works fine.

When I try to unmap x, get msg "link no longer works." I am unable to un map drive x. How can I remove this drive x from pointing to a non existant site.

    Hello Mangomama,

You might see if using Method One in OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to delete the mapped drive in a command prompt.

    Map Network Drive

    Hope this may help,
    Shawn

    Ok.

In Windows Explorer, see if clicking on Tools (menu bar) and Disconnect network drive may allow you to select X and disconnect it to remove it.

If not, then double check in the registry key location below. You should see a subkey under Network for each mapped network drive there. If X is listed as a subkey, then delete it and restart the computer to see if that may help.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Network

Not sure which advice worked, as I tried them all. When I booted up the computer today, the x drive was no longer there. SO thanks for the help.

That's great news. I'm happy to hear that it's gone now. :)
