this computer can't connect to homegroup

Hi

I have a Desktop computer with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit

The Laptop can see the desktop, files and printer
But the Desktop cannot see the Homegroup.
The desktop does not have the option to allow remote desktop connections, I don't know if that is connected to the same issue or not.

When I try to modify the Homegroup on the desktop, I get the error message mentioned above.

this computer can't connect to homegroup

Troubleshooter could not identify the problem.

Any ideas???
