    Ethernet controller not working!

    Hello,

Please help me! Today suddenly my internet stopped for no reason! When I open the device manager and click on other devices and click network my Ethernet controller has a little yellow (!)sign next to it and when I click properties it says no driver installed, please tell me what to do! I have drivers I guess, I just installed an Atheros driver there for the network but somehow it doesn't recognize it or I do not know what is the problem, please help, please!

    Thank you

    Best Regards
    Stefany

Hi Stefany93, Have you tried right clicking on the device with the exclaimation mark against it and selecting "update driver" ? , Windows ashould then find the driver for you :) Are you sure you have an Atheros ethernet controller ?

Hi peddly, thank you very much, I tried that and nothing happened, yeah I guess I have this one since this was the name of the previous driver before it stopped working.

Hi Stefany93, Looking at the Atheros website ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows (Atheros?????) there are a number of different models of controllers , We need to know the manufacturer/make/model of your computer to narrow down the search for the correct driver :)

While in the device manager, delete the driver, reboot your PC. Windows will try to re-install the driver, which may resolve the issue.
