    Make "Network" icon have 5 bars permanently.


    I'm referring to the taskbar's "network" icon. I don't really mind what my real wireless signal strength is, but I want the "network" icon to always display with 5 bars.

    Basically, I want my "network" icon to always display like this:


    Even if the real strength is:

    You would need to change the icons in the netcenter.dll file

    How do I find the file?

    Nevermind, found it in System32. You actually have to edit the pdhui.dll with Resource Hacker.

Hello, whenever I'm connected to a network, the attached icon is displayed. The other icons (e.g. the spinning wheel thing when establishing a connection) do work, but the "connected" icon seems to have disappeared for no reason. I did not install any new software and I don't know what else...
Somehow I managed to display the "Network" icon (not shortcut) on the desktop, but now I couldn't remember how to do it again on another 7127 installation:confused:.
