I did all that and it didn't restart.

But! It restarts as soon as I log in to Windows.

Well, then the netcard and or chipset driver must somehow upset the NIC's.

When you installed windows 7, did it find drivers for your NIC's?

And did it work then?

Did the problem start after updating with the newest Nvidia driver?

slowly running out of ideas here.

After installation everything was fine. Good working, and running great. Until this just happened.

Now a Charter(ISP) technicion just left and he worked on our existing internet problem. But I showed him the Windows 7 deal and he didn't know what was going on. He said that it has to be the router or something in the OS to be doing this.

You're sure you haven't installed anything network related after that right?
No antivirus software? MSN messenger?

Check the Windows Update history for installed network related updates.

In the device manager, can you chose previous driver for the NIC's?

If it worked after install, maybe you could go back to a restore point from right after the install?

You would lose some programs that you installed after the restore point, but it's better than having no internet, right?

Good luck

I saw in your specs you have a great system to run Win7.

What build do you have? RTM? or previous?

I was running RTM. And it is Windows 7 that is making the router restart. I did a clean install of Windows Xp and no problems at all.

The only thing I can come up with is that the connection was flooded as soon as you log on.
What's causing it, I dont know.

I've been troubleshooting for more than 20 yrs, but never came across this one.

Sorry to hear you have to go back to XP.
