Channel crossover will often times cause a complete disconnection like you are seeing now.

As I mentioned earlier you should turn on the security for that connection and also change the channel to something different than the access point is using. The fact that the problem is only occurring on this one machine doesn't mean much.

If this is a dual router network then there are other settings and adjustments required for the secondary router in order to have a stable network. To start with you need to disable DHCP on the secondary router. Plugging stuff in really won't cut it in a dual router network. It may work great for awhile then will become unreliable on certain machines for no apparent reason.

The network adaptor power save option should have fixed the cutting out problem which is why I believe there are still problems with the actual network. Or put another way, I personally would not expect a dual router wireless network running the same exact channel with zero security on one of the access points to ever work reliably.
