I'm having the same problem. My laptop is an Acer Aspire 7750G. Intermitten internet - Default Gateway not available, or some other message. I constantly have to keep pressing the diagnose button on my internet status to get it working again, but only for a short while until it drops again. Here is my IPCONFIG /ALL

Are you able to provide a screenshot of the message?

Also, does this happen to any other machines or devices on the network? Do the routers lights change at all during the outage?

If you're connected to a hotspot or domain network, contact the network administrator. Otherwise: 1. Unplug or turn off the device. 2. After all the lights on the device are off, wait at least 10 seconds. 3. Turn the device back on or plug it back into the power outlet. To restart a router or access point that has a built-in battery, press and quickly release the Reset button.

Are you connecting via wired or wireless? If wireless can you please test connectivity via wired.

    Many thanks,
    Josh :)

It sometimes helps to manually enter the default gateway IP into the IPv4 properties, the link below explains how to do this "kind of" it's the same as entering a static IP but you just enter the gateway IP instead.

There are many other solutions for this ongoing problem in the comments section in the link below.

Josh, i'm connecting wirelessly (with great trouble, which brings me to you). It's even more difficult to connect wirelessly now, almost impossible. I believe there is a problem with the wireless network adapter. The only way for me to connect online it seems is through a wired connection now. Chev65, thank you for the link, i've done the process step by step. Though i don't think it helped. I'll check out the comment section, but any help from you josh would be appreciated.

Why from me? My help is just as valid as anyone else.

If it is only a wireless issue can you please follow the last section of these post and upload your Xirrus wireless results. It is possible that you may need to change the wireless channel.

    Many Thanks,
