Programs cannot connect to the internet.

I'm currently running a 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium and recently, programs other than Windows Live Messenger, Skype, and my browser stopped working. Coincidentally, every program that stopped working connects using the internet. My IE Lan settings were already checked as "Do not use a proxy" along with every other browser I use. I tried using MSConfig and turning off everything in the boot menu. I've scanned for Malware using Malwarebytes and I'm currently scanning my computer with AVG. My resident shield for AVG is off, my avast shields are off, and my windows firewall is off.
    Nothing has worked so far.
Also, this happened a while ago and just went away on its own.

Note: I'm computer illiterate so bear with me here.

    Welcome to Seven forums Dubsword

Are you using 2 antivirus programs on your computer?

*Uninstall AVG & Avast! if you have both of them and install MSE from the link bellow and do a full scan.
Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

*Do a SFC Scannow and reboot if it says integrity violations are found. If they are unrepairable run the scan 2 more times.
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

*You say that it started recently. Did you try a system restore to a date before it started?
    System Restore

Keep us posted for further suggestions.
