@CHEV65. Thank you, great answers. Yes I do have a router, so I will play around with the DNS settings. Do you think it is better using Google as a DNS server, as opposed to using my default gateway/ISP DNS servers?

Personally I think yes because if a lot of people in your area use the same ISP and happen to be using the internet and it goes into being heavy traffic then imo it is better to use Google DNS server if you are based in the US.

I wouldn't trust Google. It is probably recording everything that comes through it's DNS servers to sell to whoever wants the info.
Don't worry, IPv4 will be on market for a long time. IPv6 will eventually replace it. Whenever it will be the case, it will be backwards compatible meaning you will still have internet access. Your ISP will take care of this.
