Internet slows to a crawl when XBOX 360 online.

My sons Xbox is connected via ethernet to a router and DSL modem. We have about 10M Down and .8M up speed with our connection. When he's playing online, the internet pretty much stops working on our PC. The funny thing is, we have a Wii connected wirelessly through the modem and you can play a movie on Netflix while he's gaming with no noticeable lag. I just reloaded windows 7 to solve a different issue, and now this is happening. I haven't set up Media Center yet, but his xbox was set up before as an extender and we never had any issues.

The Wii is connected wirelessly to the DSL modem (please provide model no. and make )and hence can get to see Netflix without any lag,

After you re-installed windows 7, did you re-install all your mobo drivers...which include LAN and wireless drivers?

I did not reload any drivers. I let windows load them. I see where you're headed with this. I have a Actiontec M1000 modem. I am not sure what model my router is, I'm at work right now. Centuar78, you are correct.
    Can post more details tonight.

I don't have a router. Its a switch. Trendnet TE100-S5. It doesn't appear that you need oem drivers for either the switch or the modem. I know I never had to install any drivers for them when I set them up.
Anyway, I'm doing a little more troubleshooting on my own to see what exactly is happening.

Problem resolved. It looks like I just had to power cycle the switch. Thought I had done that already, but must not have. Sorry to waste your time
