Well there are tons of links for me to check out!! thanks guys/girls as for using a express card well that's not an option for me as that was one thing not avail on this laptop to keep the price down, just like no HDMI port, the connection is there just the plug is missing. But I have 2 little screws to take out open the port and there is my wireless card. I have read some really bad things about this card but I did find a driver that works or so people say but its a 32bit driver and not sure if I can use it on 64bit OS??

So if anyone can help me on that end as I am new to 64bit that would be cool. I had a nice wireless card with N support too sold it for dirt cheap cause I didn't have use for it at the time and wish I still had it since it would fit and work. theres some extra cables in this thing so I think I can do the N dual channel thing. I will look inside a little more later but I really need to get to the gallery.

You can't use a 32-bit driver on a 64-bit OS. If the card has bad reviews than a 49XX from intel would suffice (only $29 bucks to boot)

bloody weather might keep me from making money tonight!!! NOT good I finally get invited to show my work and I can't walk downtown to get there with a laptop in the RAIN.

update, well since i can't travel I am going to take a look inside this laptop and check to make sure the 3 cables near my net card are hooked up currectly, maybe I am lucky and the wrong cable is being used or something simple I can fix. I know when I checked out the HDD that some of the screws were loose so maybe....

anyway back in a few hours time to checkout the insides of this laptop.

Hmm I should upgrade my laptops Broadcom 4312 b/g 2.4ghz WIFI to something better. Maybe I'd get a better and more stable signal

You can't sadly...even cards like the 8600M GT and such that CAN be removed are more than likely not compatible for an upgrade.

since people are talking about video upgrades in laptops, I think I could, this is the first laptop I have seen that has "doors" for the HDD, memory, wireless card and easy access to the CPU or so it looks. with all this easy upgrade I wonder about the video card., I did find some videos showing how to take apart this model but dialup isn't nice to video.
